e learningOur on-site classroom at Scubaducks provides the perfect learning space for the theory portion of your Open Water Diver course (and there are considerable and undeniable benefits to having face-to-face sessions with your instructor). However, we recognise that some students prefer to learn on their own, at their own pace, and in a place that suits them. This is where PADI eLearning comes in.

PADI eLearning gives you:

When you have completed all the segments of the Open Water Diver course online, bring your eLearning record to Scubaducks to start the next phase of your underwater adventure.

eLearning is also available for a range of other PADI courses. Please see the FAQs page for more information.

The minimum age for student divers to enrol in a PADI eLearning computer-based course is 10 years; for the tablet and mobile device-based course it is 13 years. However, please see our FAQs page for minimum ages for the open water dives for Open Water Diver and Referral.  An eLearner under the age of 13 requires parent or guardian permission to register online and, for the protection of the child’s privacy, Scubaducks will only receive the parent or guardian’s email address. We will only communicate directly with the parent or guardian until or unless parental permission to communicate with the child is given.
