Have you ever surfaced from a great dive and tried to describe to your land-locked companions what fantastic sights they are missing underwater? Wouldn’t it be great to be able to actually show them what you saw, and share your amazing experiences more visually?
Underwater photography is one of the most popular diving activities, and the accessibility of digital underwater photography has made it easier and more fun than ever.
Shooting the best photos underwater
requires special techniques and good buoyancy control (the Peak Performance Buoyancy speciality can be a real help here). This course will teach you the best angles and distances to use as well as how to adjust the camera’s settings to take account of the changes in colour underwater.
After a look at the theory and a practical session in our on-site heated pool to hone your photography techniques and buoyancy control, you will dive in open water with your camera, putting into practice all the skills you have learned.
Back in the classroom, a photo processing workshop will help you to fine-tune your underwater photos for even better results.
Minimum age: 10 years (see the FAQs page for age restrictions on UK diving)
