Diving in a dry suit is your route to keeping warm and extends your diving season. When you have the right cold water gear, you can stand up to the elements and take advantage of the generally better visibility offered by winter months – especially at inland dive sites such as quarries and lakes, etc.
Unlike a wetsuit, a dry suit seals you from the outside water and, with a good insulating layer beneath, keeps you warm – even in surprisingly cold water.
You will learn about the different dry suits and undersuits available, how to care for them and how to use them. In our on-site pool you will learn the techniques and safety procedures for diving in a dry suit compared with a wetsuit.
Then, in open water, two supervised dives allow you to put your new skills into practice. You will never have to emerge shivering from a dive ever again!
